A Random Sunday Afternoon

decided to have light lunch last Sunday after church because we are gonna heavy dinner that night.
went to Tom's pie to try out their pie. The interior of the shop is small, kinda compacted, only 4 tables in the shop. so make sure you don't talk about gossip, HAHA!

the signature pepper beef & chicken ( I forgot the flavor)

Before reaching the nail bar, we are attracted by cloud 99 ice cream, HAHAHA!
that's a pretty hot afternoon, some ice cream would be fine.
it is a custom made ice cream shop which u get to choose the base, topping, cone, flavor and sugar level.
there are more than 10 flavors to choose for, they have durian too!

and TADAH, our ice cream is done :P

Dinner @Cove55

Hey guys! I'm finally blogging about the evening at Cove55, Kuching. This place is real stunning and great for photo shooting! Felt so blessed to be able to have a dinner at this beautiful place, thanks Samantha for the invite ;)

we were there too early because someone kept nagging we have to go early yet we clarified that we ain't going to lost our way. The real story behind is Kwong Soon himself is there, he wants to meet up before the event starts. We were kinda jaw dropped to see him there because he is supposed to be in Kelantan. Anyway, early birds have more time to take photo without being photo-bombed. HAHAHA!

Howdy

Guess who is with us in Kuching?

It is Cindy! Finally we could meet up before she is flying off to KL the next day.
Were dining @Howdy, Brighton Square. Lucky us got a table on the crowded Saturday night.
We could probably ended up with no seat if we are 15 minutes late.

and this post is ended with a selfe, HAHA.

A day @Carpenter street

After googled about the delicious food in kuching, I found out most of them are located at the town, which is more like the open air kopitiam style. I decided to plan a short trip to there since it was a school holiday and it was a weekend which means less crowded and shorter queue. Lucky Justine got a parking and started walking around the streets. What I love about walking along the old streets were that you got to discover many kopitiams which are not really conspicuous and I simply love the vintage looking streets and buildings. I personally attracted to this kinda design, HAHA! You are advised to go in the morning because most of the kopitiams only operate in the morning and close around the afternoon.

Here are some of the random streets shots, my photo- taking skill is a fail, HAHA.

This is the first destination of the trip and where I had lunch. This is the Lau Ya Keng, located opposite ShangDi temple.

This is the famous fish ball soup and kolok mee. I love the elastic and freshly prepared handmade fish balls. Didn't get to try the kueh chap, but it is in my next visit list.

This is the famous pork satay, min order is 5 sticks and the stall only operates after 1pm.

Exploring the city after lunch, some random photos and landmarks.

Black bean coffee is highly recommended on the tripadvisor! As a coffee lover, this is the high light of the trip, HAHA! highly recommended for those who love coffee! They are still using vintage machines to serve coffee.

Ice latte

went to Merdeka Plaza for a short shopping trip because my friends told me cotton on was having sales!

Dinner at Borneo Delight, I chose a window seat.
The portion of tomato mee is way too big for one person!

Headed back to uni after dinner, my legs were shaking all the way home.
