Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor

After spending 2 days in Malacca, we headed to Kuala Selangor which is also YL's hometown. Took a morning bus to Klang then her brother picked us up at the bus station. A bit sad as all the paddy field are being burnt down for agriculture purpose by the time we were there. So no paddy field this trip, you are advised to go around March or October to witness the beauty of paddy field. Fireflies Park is for evening and night. Mangrove swamp at Natural park isn't a great idea for an afternoon trip so.....  By the way, we still managed to visit few beautiful places in Kuala Selangor. Kuala Selangor is a small cozy fishing village & paddy field so you are expected to see plantations and fishing boats here. If you are looking for a shopping spot, Setia City Mall can be a great choice as it carries many brands like Zara, Uniqlo, Mango, h&m and  many more. OK, first stop is Bukit Melawati. It is a fort built on the top hill by the second sultan of Selangor. Pieces of foundation, cannons and lot of monkeys. There were also a lighthouse and royal mausoleum.

Make sure you try the mango and everything here, HAHAHAHA!

go search for it!

Next stop is Sekinchan beach. A great place for photo shooting!

Eating part in Kuala Selangor.

Can you guess what is this?

Cendol drive thru!

and the delicious yam puff.

And we went to Sunway in the evening, this isn't in our itinerary! I was so excited because It had been 2 years since I last visited KL. Sunway has improved so much in 2 years times! I spot so many new stores and restaurants here, so dangerous. Sephora. HAHAHA!

Cafe Bene for dessert. we were totally exhausted after a day of visiting and walking around.

Bear Paw for dinner to end the trip.

Thanks YL for being the tour guide, driving all the way to KL and sending me to the airport.
I'm so blessed to know you and your family.
Thanks HW, YL and LH for this trip, truly blessed to have you all as my travel mates!

Day 3: Bambo cafe X Red House X St. Paul Hill X Nadeje X Klebang coconut Milksake X Satay Celup

Hello,  I'm blogging away from Sibu. I'm currently taking a two months course at Methodist Theology School in Sibu. I will be spending my summer holiday here until the first week of September. So far, I found the classes and people here lovely and helpful indeed. The classes we have every week ain't as boring as I thought It would be but turned up to be so interesting and cool. Hostel is great, I have no complain about that, It can score a 99% for hostel. What I find it comfortable and lovely is that they only assigned two people in a room. Each room has its balcony for drying clothes and you can have your own toilet, two studying tables, a bed and spacious space all to yourself and your roommate. As a student, it is compulsory to attend each class, prayers meeting, choir and take meal on time. The morning prayers at 5:15am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday is holiday to all and weekends are assigned for church visiting. Basically, you have no worries about wasting your time here because everything is scheduled. I just started experience my first fasting since yesterday night till today lunch time. Honestly, I was very resist about that before this because I couldn't tolerate to starve myself. I do always take proper meals and snacks in between. It was very challenging for me and so I asked for prayers from my family members. You know what? I didn't feel any hunger at all. I was totally surprised and rejoiced in God, you can never underestimating God and now I'm taking a step ahead. Thank you Lord.

Day 3 in Melaka.

If you're planning to go to Jonker Street, make sure you visit Bambo Cafe! I fall in love with the arts and interior design here! and make sure you enter or leave using the back door. You will know why when you do so. HAHAHAHA. It was a bit sad that photo taking is prohibited but I still take photo because I just love the interior design here! so please don't sue me. *begging

Malacca River.

The Red House / In front of Christ Church

with all the travel mates. :D

At St. Paul Hill and beside St Francis Xavier marble statue

All of us in front of the lone gate/ A. Famosa aka Portuguese fortress.

Big thanks to LiHua for being the photographer and took all the group photos!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So happy to meet up with HL in Malacca as we are both visiting red house on the same day. I swear we didn't plan to meet up until she saw the FB status that we are also in Malacca. Miss you so much! Meet up with you definitely make this trip a more memorable one!

Nadeje for the famous mile crepe which is another must eat in Melaka.
The queue can go crazy in the afternoon so make sure you go at the other time to avoid the crowd.

and the must- drink- coconut- milkshake.

and this is the location for coconut milkshake.

It was Sunday so lucky us got to visit the night market at Jonker Street.

Last stop, Satay Celup for supper.

We went to the left shop because our tour guide found it more delicious as the servings are more generous. So you know which to choose when you visit Ban Lee Siang.

I thought we were gonna have satay but it was something different from my perception. They have satay sauce as soup and sauce. You can choose you own favorite and dip them in the soup, wait until boil and devour them. HAHAHA.

It was my second trip to Malacca and it was so much difference with my first visit with my family because we now have a local friend to guide us around. Thousand of thanks and love to LiHua for being so nice and showing us around the town. We won't have so much fun w/o you.

Day 2: Melaka // Jonker Street X A' Famosa

We got up quite early to catch a bus from Batu Pahat to Melaka which was about RM9.90 (cry). It had been a while since I took a bus so I was quite excited. We go for bus because it is cheap and convenience in peninsula. The journey took us 2 hours, roughly and we slept all the way to Melaka.
Thanks LiHua for picking us up from the bus station and showing us around the town and A Famosa.
She is so friendly and kind. Thanks God for sending us angels! ;DD

random photos along the Jonker Street.

Chicken rice balls !!! *drum playing

and the famous and delicious puff, durian, yogurt and cempedak.
This stalls had been featured in many tv channels.

as good as rated. I'm craving for them now.

Hello, Mr. Malaysia !

the scene of Little Nyonya (SG drama)

After brunch, we went to A Famosa to catch the animals shows. Sadly, we missed the first cow boy show but we managed to watch the rest of the 3 shows in the afternoon. Bird show, elephants show and mix animal show. My favorite goes to elephant show because you can see that elephants actually build better relationship with the trainers, if compared to birds and other animals in the shows so I felt more harmony to watch their interaction and performance during the show. LOL

some random photos of.... camels

Not sure what I was doing. LOLOL.

Parrot. as on the Faber Caster color pencil box. HAHAHA

ponies

while watching the shows.

demonstrating sleeping

zzzzz

trying to wake his friend up.

ignore the plastic chair. HAHAHA

Old west for Red Indian Show at night. Obviously, we were there too early. The show only starts at 8:30pm.

so strolling around and taking pictures.

short videos on  my Instagram.

Animal feeding becomes a bit too commercial. As soon as the last bite was fed, the pony is brought away, not even finishing his last crunch. Too sad. The photo taking team (photographer and workers dress like clowns/ cowboy, or performers of the night) will approach you and take group photo without permission and flee away after they are done. They are so well trained (so quick) that you have no yet recover from consciousness to reject.

But I did enjoyed the Red Indian Show and fire crackers at the end of the show! definitely not entertained by the ah gua dance ;D

That's all about day 2 of the trip.

p/s: some pictures are from YL's camera, you can tell from the photo quality. ;p
