Day 1 in LA

We were staying at Airbnb in Koreatown while in LA.
It is considered a location wise and safe neighborhood.

We were using public metro and the day pass is around $7. The single ride fare is $1.75.
Do your math and it is only worth if you're taking more than 4 trip in a day.

However, places in LA are pretty widespread. It is more ideal if you rent a car but there are only two of us so we gave up the option as it is not pocket friendly. It could take you an hour or 2 to travel between one spot to another.

First stop is the Walk of Fame

This is a tourist trap, we spent $14 for this photo. LOL

Get to see the famous Chinese Theater but I didn't take any photos.

Next stop, Rodeo Drive. a Luxury branded shopping street.

 LACMA

Original Farmer Market

And we had Korean fried chicken at Chicken Day as dinner.

One day at Grand Canyon

It is our first time in Grand Canyon, we are both excited and lost. LOL. We only have a day in Grand Canyon and we wanna made the most of it. But we are way too excited and spend too much time taking photos so we are rushing in the end of the day, LOL.

The entrance fee is $30 per private vehicle. Maps are given at the entrance and you can actually access the official web in advance for trip planning.

FYI, we are visiting the South Rim of Grand Canyon.
We were there around 11 am and the parking lot A & B were already filled up. SO, we parked our rented car at Lot 4 and quickly catch a shuttle bus to the site. We took the blue line and transfer to the red line. We stopped at the first and second stop of the red line and took many photos. We later realized our photos all look kinda similar and we ended up skipping some stop and go straight to the last stop and back.

First stop, TrailView Overlook

Second stop, Maricopa Point

We later stopped by at Hopi and Powell as they are walkable distance between so you save time waiting for next shuttle.

Last stop, Hermits Rest

gift shop and coffee shop

We left around 7pm and headed back to our motel. If you have more time, check out the way along the desert view trail via private vehicle.

We were staying at Motel 6 Page, Love the room and the rate is cheap. It comes with private bathroom. Spacious room and rest room. We had a good stay.
