The troubles, troubles, troubles version.
It was Monday morning and I decided to go for food hunt in downtown. I was driving happily as I see no sign of traffic jam on the road.
After turning, it was a different story. OK, next time I will just keep quiet.
Had been wanting to visit Greenhill corner for the famous roasted chicken rice. My friends even told me that it was sold by the time they are there, which is around 9am. Just as I was clapping for being an early bird until I realised it was not yet open. *dark cloud above me.
I asked the waitress beside,
Me: it is closed today?
waitress: No, it will starts operating at 9am.
Me (OS): but my friends told me it is sold at 9am, so that means sold= start operating= 9am??? not so impressive.
By the way, I decided to not wait and went on with plan B. I walked to another cafe I researched earlier which is a few streets away.
walk walk walk...
and found no cafe named Min Joo along the street.
I asked the nanny at the temple and she replied with her partner saying that they don't know if that shop ever exists but the kind hearted nanny walked me to the cafe near by and help me ask the owner of the cafe. And everybody was like staring at me. WALAO, I know that is not so ethical to ask a competitor. For the sake of the nanny, I didn't get treated with broom or nasty words but the young lady at the counter didn't give a good 'face color' either. I should just leave, to be honest, I want to leave so badly. Luckily an old man told me there is another cafe named Kim Joo at THAT side. I NEED to leave so just leave before I get more detailed information. I walked until the end of the street and couldn't even find a cafe. People in shop along the street are giving me dirty stare like what is this girl walking alone here. ( I had been passing by for many times because I wanna make sure I didn't leave this out.)
OK (second time of the day),
I made up my mind to leave and when I got back in my car, I felt so hungry. I might as well just try the beef noodle stall beside the chicken rice stall.
To my delight, the beef noodle was quite good, definitely worth trying.
But the times was still very early plus that I'm not fulled yet. So, went to law lee cafe (Lee coffee shop) and ordered a fried kueh tiaw with bean sprouts.
reading newspaper while eating my kueh tiaw.
went to Maybank ATM and my ATM card couldn't be processed.
OK ( for the third time of the day), I will just waited for 10 minutes until the bank starts operating because I would need an eraser for my ATM card. After N times of attempts, my card just couldn't be processed. The counter service advised me to get a new card for replacement.
OK( for the forth times of the day). So, I queued for customer service and fortunately I got served real soon. and the fact is that I key-in the wrong pass code for more than 3 times so my card got blocked. =.=
I got access to my account after that, thumb up for the Maybank efficiency level. I'm very pleased.
went to choon hui cafe, another popular breakfast spot in town but it was closed. IDK why. tell me.
Remember the Min Joo cafe I mentioned earlier, I thanks God someone updated the latest information on his blog saying that MIN JOO (old) >>>>>> 面家汤 (now)。
so had my lunch there. full house so everybody had to queue or share tables with strangers. I choose the queue because I forgot about the second options. This place needs no introduction, it is just simply delicious and famous along the local. Kennysia recommended this place as the best kolok mee award 2008. so, as described, you wait and wait and wait to get seated; you wait and wait and wait to get your food ordered; you wait and wait and wait to get your food served.
kolok mee
Dang Dang Dang, the best mix pork soup ever.
ran some errands with WS and sunny hill ice cream in the hot afternoon! :)
Thanks for the treat, your time and your wise words.
things got better after that, no more OK. *giggle
Met up with U62 gang for dinner @Dyak. ;D
Long time no see, felt so good to catch up with everyone.
I love the interior design although it is a bit dark.
I missed one dish.
